Virtual clinical trials | ECOGENE-21 receives $2.2 million

ECOGENE-21 will receive $2.2 million as part of a project to develop virtual clinical trials headed by the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI). In particular, the Saguenay-based organisation will develop drug delivery solutions in collaboration with the UAS Centre of excellence.

    ECOGENE-21 tests drone delivery of medicines and samples in Alma

    People who suffer from rare diseases, or who have very specific medical monitoring needs, could see their treatment improved through the use of drones. To help make this a reality one day, the Saguenay-based ECOGENE-21 group recently took part in tests using small remote-controlled aircraft to deliver medicines or medical samples to remote areas.
