ECOGENE-21: a unique model in Quebec

Enabling patients to take part in clinical trials is one way of overcoming the lack of access to certain treatments and drugs for rare diseases. ECOGENE-21, the only clinical research centre of its kind in Quebec, has been providing free treatment to patients in the region for over 20 years.

ECOGENE-21, whose offices are located on rue Jacques-Cartier in Chicoutimi, is an NPO that employs 25 people: nurses, researchers, laboratory technicians, research professionals and doctors who carry out and design clinical research projects.
