ECOGENE-21 is proud to be an active partner in this initiative to improve access to treatment for patients wherever they live.

This major initiative, set up and run by the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) in a public-private partnership, is developing and deploying a digital platform and digital tools for conducting virtual or decentralised clinical trials (limited or no visits to clinical sites and/or hospitals).

    A drone successfully delivers medicines over 150 km to help isolated patients

    A drone belonging to Delair, a company based in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), has made a long-distance delivery of medicines. The 150 km test flight will be used to validate its future use in Quebec to deliver medicines to isolated patients.

    ECOGENE-21 tests drone delivery of medicines and samples in Alma

    People who suffer from rare diseases, or who have very specific medical monitoring needs, could see their treatment improved through the use of drones. To help make this a reality one day, the Saguenay-based ECOGENE-21 group recently took part in tests using small remote-controlled aircraft to deliver medicines or medical samples to remote areas.
